Recap:
Last night couldn’t have been sweaty-ier.
The Dodgers starter, Walker Buehler, really surprised everyone last night. For most of the year he’s carried a 7+ ERA and has been absolutely horrible, but he delivered what the Dodgers were so desperately needing last night…a 4 inning gem of a game: 6 K’s, 3 Hits, 0 ER’s.
Our SoBet WHALE PLAY was a sweat and a half. We had the over 7.5 based on bad pitching stats from Buehler and Severino but both managed to pitch great last night. Luckily, as the Dodgers have proved all season…pitching is almost secondary to their organization…so many weapons on offense that the bats can carry the team to victory most nights.
They came through with 8 runs last night, on a night where I was sure the Mets would do their part to contribute. In total there were 18 runners left on base last night! EIGHTEEN! Remember this – even on cold nights there can and will be plenty of opportunities to score. 53 degrees at game time and we saw 3 home runs and 8 runs scored!
Free Play of the Day:
The play of the day is brought to you by Thursday Night Football and the New Orleans Saints!
The Saints are missing their two best WR’s tonight (Olave and Shaheed), so it’s only natural that TE Juan Johnson gets a few more looks tonight. We’ve seen an up-tick in his productivity over the last 3 games where he’s been averaging 3 or more targets per game. It’s a little juicy, probably because Vegas knows it’s a solid play…here you go:
