What a wild couple of games we just witnessed today! For Green Bay fans, some are blaming Anders Carlson for a missed field goal attempt but the blame should be placed squarely on the shoulders of the leader of this team, Jordan Love. You can’t win games throwing for under 200 yards coupled with 2 interceptions.
The Ravens rolled over the Texans with ease as they prepare to play the winner of the Chiefs / Bills matchup Sunday night in Buffalo. Lamar Jackson rushed for 100 yards, rushed 2 TD, and threw for 2 TD’s. The Raven’s have won the Super Bowl. You can’t stop this team. Image this Raven’s team playing in the nice “dry heat” of Las Vegas next month!? Jackson might just rush for 200 yards! In all seriousness, our sad parlays didn’t hit today…let’s recap.

Detroit Lions / Tampa Bay Buccaneers MOONSHOT
Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles was asked by a reporter yesterday, “What did you do to prepare for the 4 degree weather in Detroit?” The coach played it cool as he replied “The Lions play in a dome, dummy. Next question.” Not his exact words, but I’m sure that was the sentiment.
On to bigger and better things…the MOTOWN MOONSHOT!!!
Baker Mayfield has thrown approximately 1 TD in 14 of his 16 games. One of those rare times he didn’t throw a TD during a game was against the Detroit Lions in week 6. This doesn’t scare me much as Baker is playing at a much higher level than he was in Week 6. I expect at least 1 TD pass by him this weekend, and I’m betting his boy Cade Otton catches that TD pass tomorrow. He had a season high (maybe career high), 11 receptions on 13 targets. Zero touchdowns. Baker is SO confident in this guy, I find it hard to believe that he doesn’t catch a tuddy tomorrow!
Jarod Goff has been playing exceptionally well as of late, throwing at least 1 TD pass in his last 18 out of 20 games. As Goff’s stats indicate, the Lions have been running in TD’s a lot more over the last 4 games. Only once in his last 4 games has he thrown more than 1 TD pass. Tomorrow however, he competes for the right to play in the NFC Championship game versus the San Francisco 49ers. He will be playing at a very high level in Detroit tomorrow afternoon and I expect AT LEAST 2 TD passes from him, one of which, has to be to La Porta. Sam is the reason we are all here rooting for the Lions to make it to the next stage.
Finally, David Montgomery has been a work horse all season, scoring 13 TD’s in 14 games. Mark David down for a TD tomorrow as well. So how does the MOTOWN MOONSHOT look?
